PintoLeather: A Passion for Craftsmanship and Leather

I am the son of an artist: although I had never practiced the art of leatherworking before, my mother cultivated it throughout her life. I grew up in an environment where craftsmanship was present every day, and, in a certain sense, it was natural for me to undertake this path. PintoLeather was born in 2020, during the lockdown due to Covid-19, when I felt the need to make a bag for myself. My living room turned into a small atelier, where I started creating wallets, bags and key rings for my relatives. At that moment, I realized that I was working on something that I was truly passionate about: leatherworking, a craft that has its roots in centuries of tradition, just as it was done two thousand years ago.

Uniqueness and Tradition

Each PintoLeather product is handcrafted, with care and attention to detail, using techniques handed down over time. Thanks to the completely handcrafted workmanship, each single item is authentic, unique and designed to last. Our production process uses the traditional finishers technique, famous for its strength and durability over time. After sewing, the edges of the leather are sanded, polished and treated with natural products, giving the final product an additional layer of protection and quality.

Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather

PintoLeather products are made exclusively with Tuscan vegetable tanned leather, one of the most valuable and traditional leathers in Italy. Vegetable tanning is a completely natural process, which does not involve the use of chemical substances that are toxic to humans or the environment. This makes our products eco-friendly and safe, respectful of both the health of those who use them and the environment in which we live.

An alternative to Fast Fashion

PintoLeather is not just a brand of artisanal leather goods: it is an alternative to the fast fashion industry, which contributes to overloading landfills with disposable products. Our mission is to restore value to artisanal production, offering products that last over time, capable of accompanying the individual throughout their life. Artisan leather goods are in fact witness to a tradition that is handed down from generation to generation, from parents to children, preserving a tangible link with the past and with identity.
